Method
Source: DVF land registry sales data published by the French tax administration (DGFiP, via Etalab, open licence), deeds from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2025.
Scope: sales including at least one house. The price used is that of the whole transaction; floor area is the declared built area of the houses in the transaction.
Large houses: sales at €500,000 and above. Atypical transactions are excluded from medians: more than €20,000 per built m² (land deals) or groups of more than three houses. The median price per m² covers single-house sales without flats only.
Privacy: in line with the reuse conditions of this data, no individual sale is published on pages indexed by search engines, and none is linked to a person or a named house.
Updates: with each half-yearly release of the data by the tax administration.
